Steve Saunders, owner of Baileys Catering, was struggling to keep up with the growing task of manually processing school meal pre-orders. He and his team of administrative staff were spending upwards of 20 hours each week checking orders, sending invoices and manually issuing refunds to parents.
Following the introduction of Universal Infant Free School Meals, Bailey's Catering experienced dramatic growth; in under a year, Baileys went from a relatively small business to almost doubling it's customer base.
Steve realised he needed a way to improve the efficiency of his business processes, reduce outgoings and maximise potential income from the newly introduced Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.
Since having started using DinnerPay as their catering management platform, Baileys have seen a marked increase in revenue, with projected sales increased by 12%.
As well as dramatically increasing Baileys' projected revenue, DinnerPay has substantially reduced costs, reducing expenditure on both merchant fees and their existing management software.
The platform has also cut the amount of time being spent by Steve and his administrative team from what was a full-time job, to just 10 minutes a day.
We asked Steve about his experience with DinnerPay, and whether he would recommend it to other catering businesses…
We would recommend DinnerPay for the time saved on admin jobs & merchant processing costs alone.
Because all the reports in the system are generated automatically, we don't have to spend time creating meal lists every day, or on manually entering figures into a spreadsheet. We also love the fact that all the data is updated in real time because it means that we're only producing what will actually get eaten. The amount of food wastage has dropped significantly.
DinnerPay is a very easy system to use all round, and we would highly recommend it!
